What an incredible month March has been here in Puebla! We have so much to share with you!
A Historic Month of Baptisms!
We have saved the best for first — for the first time in the history of our church, we have had baptisms every single Sunday for four consecutive weeks! Praise the Lord! We also saw attendance over 200 on multiple Sundays — 201 on March 15th and 219 on March 22nd. We simply cannot help but feel that God is doing something marvelous here at ICB Puebla. And the good news keeps coming — we had another two baptisms the following two Sundays in April! We are so grateful for your prayers!
Faith Baptist Academy — Regional Competitions
March kicked off with eight of our students from Faith Baptist Academy traveling to Bernal, Querétaro for the annual school competitions. They competed in sports, preaching, and music. We are so proud to share that our small vocal ensemble placed 2nd! Please pray for our teenagers as they continue to make wise decisions and grow in the Lord.
Biggest Church Picnic in Our Church!
On March 15th, we had our annual church picnic — and this year it was the biggest we have ever had, with over 100 people! The men played soccer, the ladies played volleyball, the teens played basketball, and all the little ones just ran. It was so good to see families in our church getting closer together and making new friends.
Marriage Conference in Ixtenco
On March 11th, my wife and I had the privilege of teaching a marriage conference in Ixtenco, Tlaxcala. She taught the ladies, I taught the men, and then we had a combined session together. It was such a blessing to see a church so on fire for the Lord! It was also especially encouraging to see David and Ariadna — the very first couple we ever married in our church — still faithfully serving God in this church.
Stewardship Banquet
On March 22nd, our church held its annual Stewardship Banquet. Praise the Lord, our church family rallied together and raised $4,700 dollars for our construction projects! With these funds, we will be completing the balcony. We still need $15,000 for the bathrooms and $15,000 for the dorms for our Bible Institute. The church also increased its monthly commitment toward our property debt to $500. Our long-term vision is to sell our current 800m² property and purchase a 2,400m² property. We are currently looking at one for approximately $400,000. Please pray with us!
Prayer Requests and Needs
Please pray for our teenagers as they continue to grow spiritually and make wise decisions. Please pray for our construction projects. Please pray for wisdom as we seek God’s direction about purchasing a larger property. And please pray so that we can reach more people here in Puebla.
