Our First Vacation Bible School.
From the 1st to the 5th of July we had our first Vacation Bible School. We held it in an apartment complex called San Bartolo. We did not know what to expect since the people in this neighborhood have been quite indifferent. God blessed and on our first day we had 35 children, 70 the 2nd day, 85 the 3rd day, 95 the 4th day and 80 the 5th day. This is without counting our 15 helpers. Among them was a group that came from North Carolina to help us. In all we saw 64 children receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Our First Anniversary.
The 6th of July we celebrated our first Church anniversary. My father, Arturo Muñoz Guzmán that pastors in Iguala, Gro., preached for our special day. We had a total of 99 people in attendance, 35 visitors (from Vacation Bible School), and 3 people received Christ as their Savior. This day we broke our previous highest attendance of 84.

More Baptisms.
We now have our own baptistry! God provided the finances to build our own baptistry made out of wood. On June 30th 6 people followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. Three more people are now ready to also be baptized.

A Call.
A few months ago I received a telephone call that I will never forget. It went like this: “Hello.” “Are you pastor Arturo Muñoz?” “Yes, how can I help you?” “My name is Sandra, and… and… I need someone to help me.” At that moment the person whom I was speaking with began to cry. A few days later my wife and I went to visit her. She told us that she thought we would never visit her. 30-year-old Sandra invited us into her home. We spoke to her about how Christ could change her life if she wanted. One hour later she was kneeling down giving her life to Jesus. Now she is not only a soul-winner and one of the most faithful people in the church but last week she also received a call… a call to serve Christ full-time. Praise the Lord! This could not have been possible without your prayers and support. Thank you.

By His Grace,
Arturo Muñoz Jr.
