Souls
saved.
The last week of the month of October we had the opportunity to
visit a lady named Maria Eugenia. While my wife entertained her
three year old son Jael, I presented the plan of salvation to her.
She paid a lot of attention to the word of God and after half an
hour she was on her knees praying to the Lord to save her. The next
day she came to church and she has been faithful since then. She
asked us to pray for her husband as he was very indifferent to the
things of God. Wednesday, November 12th, she arrived at the church
with her husband and after the preaching, he was saved! Maria Eugenia
was very happy to see her husband getting saved. Now she has a Christian
marriage, something that many here in Puebla do not have. Please
help us to pray for Puebla!
More
Baptisms.
In
the month of September we had the opportunity to baptize each Sunday.
We baptized a total of 7 people. In the month of October we also
baptized a lady whose husband was saved on our church anniversary.
A few months ago we began a “tape ministry” of preachings on CD’s
so that the church members could listen to preachings in their homes.
One of these preachings is “How to Win Souls” by Dr. Elmer Fernandez.
One member of the church, Mrs. Cerón, who lives one hour
from the church, listened to the preaching over and over again until
she had it memorized. She then went to her mother’s home and talked
to her about Christ. Her 82 year old mother accepted Christ and
was baptized November 16th. Praise the Lord for this!
12,000
tracts passed out on The Day of the Dead!
In the month of November Mexico celebrates the traditional and famous
Day of the Dead. According to the Catholic tradition, it is said
that the dead come to visit the living: the souls of the children
on November 1st, and the souls of adults on November 2nd. Approximately
30,000 people come to the cemetery each year to offer sacrifices
of food, flowers, and even mariachi singers to their dead. The truth
is that the spiritually dead are coming to visit the physically
dead. It was during these days that our church had the opportunity
to pass out 12,000 tracts at the main cemetery of Puebla that is
only two blocks from our church. Dozens of people were reading the
tracts. One lady who read the tract prayed to receive Christ while
we were there! That was worth it all. Thank you for your prayers!
By His Grace,
Arturo Muñoz Jr.
