3 Graduations, 1 Future Grandchild & 16,000 Tracts!
Sarah’s and Ashley’s Graduation
We also received some wonderful news: our daughter Rachel and her husband Josiah are expecting their first baby in January — making us first-time grandparents! (Yes, we know — we’re far too young for this. 😄) Rachel and Josiah are serving faithfully at Liberty Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Francisco Maya.

Visiting Churches
Rather than taking a traditional furlough every few years, we have found it more effective to set aside approximately eight weeks each summer to visit our supporting churches and present our ministry to new congregations. We are currently at 55% of our needed monthly support, and we are trusting the Lord to provide the remainder. If your church would like to have us come and share what God is doing in Puebla, we would love to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly.
We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to preach and present our ministry during the month of May at the following churches: Iglesia Bautista Nuevas Alturas and New Heights Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM; Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva in Milton, FL; Iglesia Bautista El Faro in Theodore, AL; Liberty Baptist Church in Tyler, TX; and Iglesia Bautista Shalom in Amarillo, TX. It was an encouragement to see the faithfulness of God in so many of these congregations!
Fruit That Remains
While we traveled, the ministry in Puebla never slowed down. Each year, during the annual Cinco de Mayo Parade, our entire church mobilizes to hand out Gospel tracts to the crowds — and this year was no exception. Our church members distributed 16,000 Gospel tracts in just 30 minutes! Seeing our church members so excited to share God’s Good News is a true blessing!

As many of you know, we have a Bible institute here in Puebla. On May 24th, we had the joy of celebrating the graduation of three students from our four-year program — Orlando, Daniel, and his wife Mary Carmen. Daniel is already pastoring a church in Tlaxcala, and Orlando is leading a mission church right here in Puebla. This is exactly the fruit we pray for — men trained in the Word and sent out to plant churches. Thank you for praying for us!

Construction Projects This Summer
We have three building projects currently underway: a second-story office for our administrative staff, a third-story dormitory for our Bible institute students, and a much-needed bathroom expansion. With 200 to 220 people attending each Sunday, we have been making do with only three bathrooms — the new project will bring that number to six for the men and six for the women.

Prayer Requests
One of our most urgent prayer requests at this time is for the legal registration of our church as a recognized Religious Association (AR) here in Mexico. Please pray that the Lord would open the doors for this process to move forward quickly.
As we return to Puebla, we are entering a new season — with only our youngest, Caitlyn (15), still at home finishing her last two years of high school, it is quite a change from the days of a houseful of seven children! Please continue praying for us!
In Christ,
