We paused for a moment, I pulled my phone out of my pocket, and I took this selfie. It was 4:10 PM, a beautiful afternoon in the city of Puebla, on July 18 of this year, and I was walking my daughter Rachel down the aisle of a lovely courtyard to give her in marriage to my future son-in-law, Josiah Lockwood. What a wonderful thing it is to give away a daughter in marriage who is completely devoted to God! Thank you to all of you who were praying for us and for this wedding.
Mission Trip of our Bible Institute to Costa Rica
One of the goals of our Bible Institute this year was to take a group of students to the mission field. Praise the Lord, we were able to take a group of nine people to Costa Rica for a ten-day trip. We visited several missionaries and pastors, including Pastor Sergio Matarrita, whose work is currently overseen by Pastor Esteban Rivera. We also visited Pastor Carlos Leyton, Pastor Jorge Ulloa, and Mexican Missionary Juan Pastrana. We saw the hand of God in every aspect of this trip. We held evangelistic campaigns with children and went out soul-winning almost every day. To God be the glory, over 60 people were saved during our visit!

Carlos Cheverría and Many More Saved!
During our mission trip to Costa Rica, we held an evangelistic meeting in a park near the church we were visiting, inviting people from the surrounding area to join. As we welcomed more attendees, a man named Carlos passed by, looking weary after a long day of work. I offered him a gospel tract, which he accepted eagerly, as many in Costa Rica do. We spoke at length, and he listened attentively. After our conversation, Carlos joyfully accepted Jesus as his Savior. He shared that he had been searching for God and felt that God had something significant in store for him. Seeing him get saved that day alone made this trip worthwhile. By God’s grace, Carlos was not the only one—over 60 people accepted Jesus as their Savior through our team’s efforts in Costa Rica. Additionally, dozens of children heard the Gospel through the Bible clubs we conducted in various parts of San José.

Baptisms!
A few months ago, Violeta and her husband Victor began attending our church. From the start, they showed great interest in the church. She immediately joined the women’s Sunday school group. Thanks to God, they have been growing in their faith, and she recently made the decision to be baptized. Please pray for her husband, that he too, will soon take this step of obedience and be baptized, just like his wife.

Thank you for your prayers!
By His Grace,
